PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Platelet Rich Fibrin treatments use the body’s healing mechanisms to create optimal conditions for hair rejuvenation. It is important to NOT inhibit inflammation. Therefore, please discontinue all anticoagulants 7 days prior to treatment. Including: 

• NSAIDS like Advil, Aleve, Aspirin. You may take Tylenol for pain control.  

• Supplements like fish oil, ginkgo, Vitamin E

• Minimize or avoid alcohol 3 days prior to treatment

HYDRATION is very important before your appointment. It will give you a higher yield of PRF and it makes for an easier blood draw. 

• Please drink 8-10 8 ounce glasses of water the day before and 16 ounces of water 2 hours before your treatment. 

Please arrive with clean hair, showered the morning of your appointment and avoid all hair styling products. 

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

Do not touch, press, rub or manipulate the treated area(s) for at least 8 hours after your treatment.

Avoid excessive heat for 2 days after treatment. Including:

• Saunas, steam rooms and swimming

• Vigorous exercise

Continue to avoid anticoagulant medication for 7 days, as they interfer with the mechanism of action of your PRF.
