Chemical Peels
Why get a chemical peel?

What to expect during your peel:
Vitality Institute chemical peels are medium depth, painless peels. Your skin will be cleansed, prepped and then the peel will be applied in layers to your face and neck. The process only takes a few minutes.
What to expect after your peel:
After your peel, your skin will have an orange appearance. The peel is self neutralizing and kept on the skin for 4 hours. You will be given a Vitality Institute aftercare kit. In the kit you receive an instruction sheet, cleanser, peel towelettes, sunscreen and a soothing repair cream. After 4 hours, you will wash off the chemical peel with the cleanser and follow the post care instructions. Generally, the skin begins to actively peel on days 3 through 5 with full results after 7 days.
What should I avoid while healing from my peel?
It is important to avoid the sun and use sunscreen as your exfoliated skin will be more sensitive to the sun.
It is important to avoid heavy sweating until you have begun to peel. Before you begin peeling the sweat can become trapped between your new skin and your soon to be peeled skin making small water blisters that can leave a scar.
Do not pull at peeling skin. Allow the skin to shed naturally or cut with cuticle scissors.
